Our Program:
Day 1: Arrival in Quito.
Reception at the airport and transfer
to the Hotel.
Day 2: Quito – Galapagos:
We will pick you up from the Hotel in Quito and
transfer to the airport for our flight to the Galapagos Islands.
Upon arrival at the small city of Puerto Baquerizo in San Cristobal
Island we will transfer you to the Hotel. After lunch we will visit
the Interpretation Centre of San Cristobal where our guides would
explain about the Galapagos Island, its formation, people and fauna
etc. Late in the afternoon we will visit and walk to “Cerro de las
Tijeretas” which is a unique site to observe 2 types of
frigates
birds nesting in the same colony. The view and the landscape are
very beautiful. Afterwards we will enjoy of the beach. Return to our
Hotel. B.
Day 3: Cerro Brujo – Isla Lobos - Pto.
Baquerizo:
Early in the morning we will navigate
to the site known
as “Cerro Brujo”, an impressive geological site where we will be
able to observe pelicans, boobies and seagulls. The white coralline
sand beach is beautiful and idyllic for sun bathing and swimming.
Behind the beach there is a brackish water lagoon where birds such
as common stilts, ducks, herons and other coastal birds feed. After
enjoying a pic nic lunch we will navigate south towards Isla Lobos,
a small islet separated from the main Island by a narrow stretch of
calm water. Upon its rocky shores blue footed boobies nest and sea
lions rest. This gives an atmosphere of tranquillity and primitive
beauty. Finally we will return to Puerto Baquerizo. Hotel. B.

Day 4: San Cristobal Island –
Santa Cruz Island – El Chato Reserve.
Free morning to discover on your own
this small Galapagos town. At about 10 a.m. transfer to the airport
to take your flight to Baltra Island. Arrival and transfer to the
small city of Pto. Ayora. On the way on to Pto. Ayora, we will hike
onto the place known as “El Chato”. This is a green lush area
surrounding a lake where we can observe several species of marine
birds and overall the Giant Galapagos Turtles which are located on
the shores of the lagoon. Later on we make a hike into one of the
lava tunnels. In the afternoon transfer to our hotel in Pto. Ayora.

Day 5: Santa Cruz Island: Puntudo
Volcano – Tortuga Bay Beach.
After breakfast by car we will
transported to the place known as “Media Luna” from where we will
start an easy hike up to the summit of the Puntudo Volcano.
The trail will take us first to the agricultural zone
near the National Park Boundary, the Miconia zone and then goes to
the Fern and Sedge zones, typical of the highlands of the islands.
With good weather it will be possible to have excellent scenes of
rolling hills and extinct volcanic cones covered with grass and lush
greenery all year round.
Return to Puerto Ayora where we will have time for
lunch and to rest in the hotel and in the afternoon we will walk to
the place known as Tortuga Bay, which has one of the most beautiful
beaches in the Galapagos. The long beach is composed of fine white
sand and is backed by an extensive area of sand dunes. Later on we
will encounter a protected beach where we will walk and we can
observe a marine iguana colony and observe several marine birds
(Pelicans, Finches, seagulls, etc). Here we can also observe the
typical red mangroves of Galapagos. Time to enjoy the beach. Late in
the afternoon return to our hotel Puerto Ayora. B.
Day 6: Santa Cruz – Isabela Island
– Galapagos Turtles Rearing Centre – The Wall of Tears
In the morning and after breakfast we will navigate
to Isabela Island, one of the biggest in the Galapagos Archipel.
This boat trip will last for about 3 hours and with luck perhaps we
can observe dolphins, sea turtles, sea lions, etc. After our arrival
in Puerto Villamil we will be transferred to our Hotel. Free time
for lunch. In the afternoon transport to the Galapagos Turtles
Rearing Centre. Our visit will permit us to learn about the National
Park efforts in order to preserve this fantastic animal species.
Later on we will visit to the place known as the
Wall
of Tears
that was built by the first inhabits of the Island, prisoners of the
penal colony that existed in Isabela Island from 1944 until 1954.
Free time to enjoy the beach. Hotel.

Day 7: Trekking Volcano Sierra Negra
and Chico Volcano:
Early in the morning this day we will
be transported up to the highlands of Isabela Island. After arriving
to the National Park check point we will start our easy hike up to
the rim of the crater of the Sierra Negra volcano. This crater is
considered the 2nd largest in the world (approximately 6
miles diameter) and it is one of the most impressive examples of the
volcanic activity in the Islands.
Down in the bottom of the crater we
can observe a fresh lava flow of the last eruption of this volcano
occurred in 2005. Later on we will continue or hike until we reach
the volcanic fissure known as “Chico” Volcano where is possible to
observe the fumaroles. Late in the afternoon return to our hike
starting point and then by car transport back to Pto. Villamil.

Day 8: Pto. Villamil.
Free day to enjoy this tranquil, beautiful Island in
the Pacific Ocean. The beach offers great opportunity to relax and
rest in this “out of the modern world” spot.
Also you can visit in your own
some other interesting spots like The Tunnel of Lava, The Flamingos
Lagoon, etc.

Day 9: Pto. Villamil – Pto Ayora.
After breakfast we will navigate
towards the small city of Puerto Ayora. Beginning the afternoon we
visit The Charles Darwin Station where we find out how the
scientists investigate the Galapagos Islands. Afterwards you will
have a free time for your last shopping in Pto. Ayora. Hotel. B.
Day 10: Flight to Quito.
In the morning transfer to the
Airport. Return flight to Quito. Hotel accommodation. B.
Day 11: Transfer out. International
flight.
Morning transfer to the airport for
your flight back home. B.
